Welcome to Skinny Mammoth Recording Studio! A 3000 sq ft recording studio situated on the outskirts of Newport, on the Isle of Wight. Run by Stu Fisher and Dave Waight, who between them have over 40 years of experience playing and recording with the likes of Courtney Love and Hole, Ozric Tentacles and Manna, as well as a whole host of other artists too numerous to mention. When they set the studio up, they decided to use the 70's decor already there to their advantage. A world away from sterile, soulless recording studios, Skinny Mammoth has a distinctly retro feel, mirrored in the enormous collection of vintage microphones, drums, amps and keyboards. Firm believers in using as little "fix-it-in-the-mix" processing as possible, and getting the best possible source sound to begin with, Stu and Dave have built up a formidable reputation as both engineers and producers.
